Dedicated to the beauty of learning, the Providence Children’s Museum also features powerful art exhibits in its public spaces that inspire creative exploration of young minds. Kids can create art with natural and recycled materials in the Discovery Studio.

  • When are good times to visit the museum?

If you want to avoid crowds, visit during early mornings and late afternoons when it’s quieter and easier to get your hands on the exhibits. The Museum is generally more crowded on school vacation weeks, rainy days and holidays. It takes about 2 - 3 hours to explore the Museum, so call ahead to find out if the Museum is too busy for your schedule or if school groups are visiting that day.
  • is there free parking?

The museum offers free parking in its private lot. On busier days, when the lot fills up quickly, you can find metered parking for one or two hours on many of the side streets surrounding the Museum. The complimentary hotel shuttle can take you there by reservation.
